Senior Node.js Developer – Automated API Design

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Node.js Developer to strengthen authentication, data encryption, and vulnerability mitigation across services. You will work closely with the security team to embed best‑practice safeguards directly into the codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Node.js services for security gaps and propose remediation.
• Implement secure coding patterns, input validation, and rate‑limiting.
• Integrate JWT, OAuth2, and secret management solutions.
• Write automated tests to verify security controls and regression safety.
• Document hardening guidelines for future development cycles.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience securing Node.js applications in cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of Express, JavaScript, and REST API design.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability scanners.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, WAF).
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Previous work on CI/CD security pipelines.
