About the role

NovaForge Tech is revitalizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7 while we upgrade its core. We need a PHP Developer who can refactor critical services, introduce modern architecture patterns, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Rewrite legacy PHP modules using Laravel best practices
• Design and implement database migrations for MySQL without service interruption
• Set up CI pipelines that support blue‑green releases
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to automate rollback strategies
• Document code changes and update technical specs for future teams

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of professional PHP development
• Deep experience with Laravel framework
• Strong MySQL query optimization and schema design
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment techniques

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with automated testing suites (PHPUnit, Pest)
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures
