About the role
Ridgeline Software is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Python Backend Developer to redesign core services, improve performance, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor monolithic Python code into modular Django apps
- Design and implement high‑throughput REST APIs
- Introduce async processing where latency matters
- Set up database migrations and optimize PostgreSQL queries
- Collaborate with DevOps to create blue‑green deployment pipelines
Must-have skills
- Strong Python experience with Django framework
- Building and documenting RESTful APIs
- Proficient in PostgreSQL schema design and tuning
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
