About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch that tightly couples mobile front‑ends with backend services. We need a Terraform Engineer to shape the infrastructure that powers this rollout, ensuring consistency, security, and rapid scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Terraform modules for multi‑region AWS environments supporting mobile APIs.
• Integrate Terraform pipelines into existing CI/CD workflows to automate provisioning.
• Collaborate with backend developers to align VPC, security groups, and IAM roles with app requirements.
• Maintain state files, implement remote backends, and enforce policy-as-code standards.
• Conduct performance and cost reviews, recommending optimizations for the upcoming release.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience writing production‑grade Terraform code on AWS.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD integration.
• Hands‑on with IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, and serverless services.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure drift and resolve provisioning issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terragrunt or Terraform Cloud.
• Familiarity with mobile backend patterns (GraphQL, REST).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog.
