About the role

Vertex Analytics is creating a data pipeline that powers real‑time analytics for operations teams. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement the API layer that connects raw data streams to downstream dashboards and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design a scalable GraphQL schema aligned with analytics use cases
• Implement resolvers in NodeJS that fetch and transform data from multiple sources
• Integrate with existing REST endpoints and ensure consistent authentication
• Optimize query performance and add caching where needed
• Collaborate with data engineers and front‑end developers to refine data models

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs in production
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of REST API principles and integration patterns
• Familiarity with React consumption of GraphQL services

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Kafka, Airflow)
• Knowledge of performance monitoring (Apollo Engine, New Relic)
• Background in analytics or operations tooling
