About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is seeking a senior Penetration Tester to assess the security posture of a new web application platform. The project involves comprehensive vulnerability analysis, exploitation testing, and detailed reporting to guide remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct black‑box and white‑box penetration tests on web and API layers.
• Identify, exploit, and validate security flaws across network, application, and infrastructure components.
• Develop detailed technical reports with risk ratings and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to verify fixes.
• Maintain testing documentation and adhere to industry standards.

Must-have skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on penetration testing experience.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10, network protocols, and exploit development.
• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, and custom scripts.
• Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and tool creation.
• Excellent written communication for clear reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud environments and container security.
• Relevant certifications (OSCP, OSCE, CEH).
