About the role

NexGen Media is launching a data‑intensive content platform and needs a Database Administrator to ensure high‑performance, secure, and reliable data operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL databases.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and schema for performance and scalability.
• Set up backup, recovery, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate databases with application code.
• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization.
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and backup strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud database services and automation tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with performance tuning in high‑traffic environments.
