Database Administrator Needed for Database Migration Engagement

About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Database Administrator to ensure data stores are fortified, compliant, and performant throughout the project.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances for security gaps
• Implement encryption at rest, role‑based access controls, and audit logging
• Design and apply patch management and configuration baselines
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate database hardening into CI/CD pipelines
• Document remediation steps and provide knowledge transfer to the ops team

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud environments
• Deep understanding of security best practices (encryption, IAM, vulnerability scanning)
• Experience with AWS RDS, Azure Database services, or GCP Cloud SQL
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell)

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or CISSP
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
