About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Frontend React Developer to rebuild critical UI layers, improve load times, and ensure consistent behavior across browsers.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor existing React components for speed and stability
• Implement lazy loading, code‑splitting, and caching strategies
• Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize API consumption
• Write unit and integration tests to guard against regressions
• Conduct performance audits and deliver measurable improvements

Must-have skills

• Strong expertise in React and modern JavaScript
• Proficiency with TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience optimizing front‑end performance (e.g., Lighthouse, Web Vitals)
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Next.js or Gatsby for server‑side rendering
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for front‑end deployments
• Background in accessibility compliance (WCAG)
