Node.js Developer – Customer-Facing API Design

About the role

We are creating a robust data pipeline that feeds real‑time analytics to operations teams. As a Node.js Developer you will design, implement, and optimise services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable Node.js micro‑services for data ingestion
• Build RESTful APIs to serve processed metrics to dashboards
• Implement streaming and batch processing workflows using modern Node.js patterns
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure schema consistency and performance
• Write unit and integration tests, and maintain CI pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong Node.js experience with Express framework
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Design and consume REST APIs
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL concepts, and performance tuning

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) for data processing
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
