About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a critical product and needs a Node.js Developer to lead a test automation uplift. The goal is to reduce regression risk before each release by building robust, maintainable test suites.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated end‑to‑end tests for existing Node.js services
• Integrate test frameworks into CI pipelines to enforce quality gates
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to identify high‑risk areas
• Document test scenarios and maintain test data libraries
• Provide training and best‑practice guidelines for the engineering team

Must-have skills

• Strong Node.js development experience
• Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP testing
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD workflows

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments
• Knowledge of performance testing and load simulation
