About the role

Vertex Analytics is building a robust data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a Python Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain services that ingest, transform, and expose data for downstream dashboards and alerts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable ETL pipelines using Python and Django
• Create and document RESTful APIs for data access
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high‑volume workloads
• Implement data validation, error handling, and monitoring
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to refine requirements

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django framework
• Design and consumption of REST APIs
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL performance tuning

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS S3, GCS)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for backend services
