About the role

NovaForge Tech is creating a data pipeline that feeds real‑time analytics to operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design and implement services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable RESTful endpoints for data ingestion
• Implement data validation and enrichment logic in NodeJS
• Integrate with PostgreSQL for durable storage and complex queries
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to define API contracts
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Document API specifications and usage guidelines

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async programming
• Hands‑on work with PostgreSQL, including indexing and query optimization
• Understanding of data pipeline patterns and performance tuning

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
• Experience with message queues or streaming platforms
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices for API services
