About the role

Summit Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its suite of cloud‑hosted applications. We need an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the effort, enforce best‑practice configurations, and ensure compliance across all environments.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing AWS resources and identify security gaps.
• Implement IAM policies, SCPs, and least‑privilege access controls.
• Configure GuardDuty, Security Hub, and automated remediation scripts.
• Containerize legacy services with Docker and enforce runtime security.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document hardened architecture and provide knowledge transfer.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years designing and securing AWS infrastructures.
• Deep knowledge of VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and encryption.
• Proficiency with Docker and container security tooling.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting experience.
• Hands‑on DevOps mindset with automated infrastructure as code.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001).
• Previous work on security‑focused incident response.
