About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping a legacy production platform to achieve zero‑downtime deployments. We need a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer to design, implement, and tune the automation stack that will power continuous delivery across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a resilient CI/CD workflow using GitOps principles
• Containerize legacy services with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes
• Integrate automated testing, security scans, and compliance checks into pipelines
• Configure blue‑green and canary releases on AWS to meet zero‑downtime goals
• Document pipeline standards and mentor the internal team on best practices

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building CI/CD pipelines for production systems
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services (ECS/EKS, CodePipeline)
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Proven track record of zero‑downtime releases and rollback strategies

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
