About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a greenfield SaaS product for a remote‑first team. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to design and embed security controls from day one, ensuring the platform is resilient against emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for the new product architecture.
• Develop security policies, incident response playbooks, and monitoring dashboards.
• Conduct code reviews and static analysis focusing on secure coding practices.
• Integrate automated vulnerability scanning into CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to remediate findings and harden configurations.

Must-have skills

• Deep understanding of network security, authentication, and encryption.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for scripting security checks.
• Proficiency in Linux system hardening and log analysis.
• Ability to translate security requirements into actionable developer tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with container security tools.
• Previous work on SaaS product launches.
