About the role
Northbay Systems is launching a critical product and needs a DevOps Engineer to lead a test automation uplift. The goal is to reduce regression risk before each release by building robust CI pipelines and automated test suites.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
- Integrate Selenium, Cypress or similar frameworks into AWS‑based environments
- Containerize test runners with Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test coverage metrics
- Monitor pipeline health and continuously improve reliability
Must-have skills
- 5+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS, CodePipeline, CloudWatch)
- Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Hands‑on scripting for test automation integration
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing tools
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Background in security testing automation
