Senior Docker Kubernetes Specialist – Infrastructure Setup

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is scaling its micro‑services platform and needs a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, deploy, and optimize container orchestration across cloud environments. You will work closely with developers and site reliability engineers to ensure reliable, automated delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement Kubernetes clusters for production workloads
• Create and maintain Docker images following best practices
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and cost, applying tuning as needed
• Document configurations and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Strong understanding of container networking, storage, and security
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Knowledge of Helm charts and Kustomize
• Background in monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana
