About the role
We are launching a brand‑new SaaS product and need a GraphQL API Developer to shape the core data layer from scratch. You will work with a remote‑first, agile team to define schema, implement resolvers, and ensure seamless integration with existing services.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable GraphQL API for the greenfield product
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to define queries and mutations that meet UI needs
- Integrate GraphQL with existing REST endpoints and microservices
- Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability and performance
- Document schema, usage patterns, and onboarding guides for future developers
Must-have skills
- Proven experience building production‑grade GraphQL services
- Strong knowledge of React and how it consumes GraphQL
- Deep expertise in NodeJS backend development
- Understanding of REST API concepts and when to bridge them with GraphQL
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Apollo Server or similar tooling
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
- Background in building SaaS platforms for remote teams
