About the role

Pinecrest Systems is modernizing its suite of customer‑facing services to achieve rock‑solid performance and reliability. As a Senior iOS App Developer you will lead the overhaul of the core mobile experience, focusing on latency reduction, crash prevention, and seamless offline support. The project, codenamed "PulseSync", aims to deliver a faster, more resilient app for thousands of daily users.

Key responsibilities

• Instrument existing code with Instruments and Xcode Metrics to identify bottlenecks and memory leaks.
• Refactor networking layer using Combine and URLSession to improve request throughput and error handling.
• Implement background fetch and push notification optimizations to reduce wake‑up latency.
• Introduce Swift concurrency (async/await) across critical workflows and ensure thread‑safe data access.
• Set up automated performance tests in Xcode Cloud and monitor results via Firebase Performance Monitoring.
• Collaborate with QA to define performance benchmarks and verify reliability targets before each release.

Must-have skills

• Expertise in Swift 5+ and iOS SDKs (UIKit, SwiftUI).
• Deep understanding of memory management, profiling tools, and concurrency patterns.
• Proven experience integrating REST APIs with robust error handling.
• Hands‑on with CI/CD pipelines for iOS (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud).
• Track record of delivering high‑performance, low‑crash iOS applications.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Firebase Performance Monitoring or similar services.
• Experience contributing to open‑source iOS performance libraries.
