About the role

NovaForge Tech seeks a Microservices Architect to lead a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. You will design resilient, low‑latency microservice patterns and guide the team through implementation, ensuring seamless scaling under peak load.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current service architecture and identify bottlenecks.
• Define a unified communication strategy using async messaging and API gateways.
• Design, prototype, and benchmark high‑throughput services in Java.
• Implement container orchestration best practices with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish observability standards: tracing, logging, and alerting.
• Mentor developers on clean code, testing, and deployment pipelines.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems.
• Strong Java expertise and performance tuning.
• Proficient with Docker containerization.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes deployment and scaling.
• Solid understanding of distributed tracing and monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures and Kafka.
