About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a brand‑new greenfield SaaS product. We need a Microservices Architect to define the service landscape, set up deployment pipelines, and ensure scalability from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design a domain‑driven microservices architecture aligned with business goals
• Define API contracts, event streams, and data ownership boundaries
• Establish CI/CD workflows using Docker and Kubernetes for automated delivery
• Mentor the development team on best practices for service decomposition and resilience
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical roadmaps

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building microservices at scale
• Deep expertise with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background and JVM ecosystem knowledge
• Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and event‑driven systems

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure‑as‑code tools
• Knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
