Senior Microservices Architect Needed for Microservices Architecture Program

About the role

Orbit Labs is building a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and optimize a scalable microservices ecosystem that powers real‑time data flow and insight generation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and document a modular microservices framework aligned with data ingestion, processing, and analytics layers
• Define service contracts, API gateways, and event‑driven communication patterns
• Lead containerization strategy using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for high availability
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservices architectures for data‑intensive workloads
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Java‑based services
• Strong understanding of event streaming, REST/GraphQL APIs, and security best practices
• Ability to produce clear documentation and guide cross‑functional teams

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or Pulsar
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools
