Senior MongoDB Specialist – Enterprise Database Architecture

About the role

Keystone Digital is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to design the data layer from scratch. You will shape schema, indexing, and data pipelines that support rapid feature rollout for a remote‑first team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable MongoDB schemas for core services
• Set up sharding, replication, and backup strategies
• Optimize queries and indexes for performance under load
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to define data contracts
• Write automation scripts for migrations and data validation

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with MongoDB design and performance tuning
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS for data access layers
• Understanding of JSON schema, aggregation framework, and indexing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑native MongoDB services (Atlas, etc.)
• Knowledge of GraphQL or REST API integration
• Background in building SaaS products from ground up
