About the role

NexGen Media is launching a high‑velocity CI/CD sprint to automate platform releases. We need a PHP Developer who can embed robust pipelines, reduce manual steps, and keep the codebase release‑ready at all times. You will work closely with DevOps and QA to ensure each commit flows smoothly through testing and deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD workflows for PHP/Laravel applications using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Automate database migrations, environment provisioning, and rollback procedures.
• Integrate static analysis, unit tests, and code quality gates into the pipeline.
• Collaborate with product owners to define release criteria and sprint goals.
• Monitor pipeline performance and iterate for faster feedback loops.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development, strong Laravel expertise.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines for web applications.
• Proficient with MySQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and automated testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes or serverless deployment.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or New Relic.
• Background in Agile sprint planning and DevOps culture.
