About the role

Orbit Labs is executing a critical integration project that ties together billing, CRM, and internal APIs. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure data reliability and performance across these systems while supporting rapid development cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement replication and failover strategies for high‑availability PostgreSQL clusters.
• Optimize queries and indexes to handle cross‑system data flows between billing, CRM, and API services.
• Develop automated backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with dev teams to tune database schemas for integration payloads.
• Monitor performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks in real time.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of replication, partitioning, and tuning.
• Experience integrating PostgreSQL with MongoDB and MySQL data sources.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in billing or CRM system data models.
• Certification in PostgreSQL Administration.
