About the role

Pinecrest Systems is extending a B2B SaaS product with a new multi‑tenant capability. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune the database layer that will support isolated tenant data while maintaining high performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and configure PostgreSQL clusters for multi‑tenant isolation
• Develop automated migration scripts for tenant onboarding and schema evolution
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage indexes across tenants
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures tailored to tenant data
• Collaborate with developers to integrate PostgreSQL with application services

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong knowledge of replication, partitioning, and security best practices
• Experience with schema versioning and migration tools
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database reporting
• Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
