About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a React Native Developer to strengthen mobile client security, integrate hardened APIs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This short‑term contract focuses on threat modeling, secure code reviews, and implementing encryption best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing React Native codebase for security vulnerabilities
• Implement secure authentication flows using OAuth2 and biometric APIs
• Integrate end‑to‑end encryption for data in transit and at rest
• Collaborate with backend engineers to harden API contracts
• Write automated security tests and contribute to CI pipelines
• Document security enhancements and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of React Native development
• Deep understanding of mobile security patterns
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Android, and iOS platforms
• Experience with secure storage, key management, and network hardening
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OWASP Mobile Top 10
• Experience with CI/CD tools for mobile apps
• Background in penetration testing or threat modeling
