Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage our general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform monthly close procedures, including journal entries and budget variance analysis.
• Develop and implement effective financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with our management team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing supporting documentation and information as required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
• Analyze financial data, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Provide financial training and support to non-financial staff members, promoting a culture of financial awareness and responsibility.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our financial processes and systems.
• Participate in special projects, such as financial system implementations, process improvements, and ad-hoc analysis, as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to provide financial insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and precision in financial work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
