Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions and drive strategic planning.
• Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business growth and profitability.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
• Provide financial guidance and support to department managers, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide training and support to staff on financial procedures, policies, and systems.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, including dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage and maintain financial systems, including accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
• Conduct financial research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and financial institutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, is an asset.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis, including development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire team members.
