About the role

BlueSky Ventures is preparing a high‑visibility app store launch. We need an Android Developer to align mobile code with backend services, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust data flow.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints into the Android client
• Implement offline caching and sync strategies for reliable performance
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define data contracts and error handling
• Write unit, UI, and integration tests to maintain code quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern architecture patterns
• Experience with networking libraries (Retrofit, OkHttp) and authentication flows
• Ability to debug performance bottlenecks on a range of devices

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Coroutines, Flow, and Compose UI
• Experience with Firebase services or similar backend platforms
• Understanding of Play Store release processes and A/B testing
