Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including marketing materials, websites, technical documents, and certification programs, from Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
• Review and edit translations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural sensitivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and other stakeholders to ensure that translations meet client requirements and are delivered on time.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation and localization.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that translations meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and other linguistic resources to support translation projects.
• Work with translation tools and software, including CAT tools, to facilitate the translation process and improve efficiency.
• Provide feedback and support to junior translators and other team members to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure timely delivery of translations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that translations are delivered to their satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in translation technology, attending webinars, conferences, and training sessions as required.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new projects, services, and initiatives.

Requirements

• Native fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent writing, reading, and speaking skills in both languages.
• BA/BS degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in translation or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality translations that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
• Strong knowledge of translation tools and software, including CAT tools, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and edit translations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Certification in translation or a related field, such as the Certified Translator (CT) or the Diplomed Translator (DT), is an asset.
• Experience working with Content Writing and Article Writing is preferred.
