Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Shopify themes and custom applications, ensuring they meet the company's standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to translate designs into functional and visually appealing interfaces, leveraging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop and integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform functionality and user experience, utilizing NodeJS and React for complex applications.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and browsers.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality, readability, and best practices within the development team.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and high platform performance.
• Contribute to the improvement of the development process by suggesting and implementing best practices, new technologies, and tools that can enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements, estimate development time, and deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and platforms, ensuring that knowledge is shared across the team and can be referenced for future projects.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Shopify, e-commerce trends, and web technologies, applying this knowledge to improve existing projects and propose new solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, sharing expertise and experience to help them grow professionally and technically within the company.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, contributing to stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the QA team to identify, reproduce, and fix bugs, ensuring that all solutions meet quality and functionality standards before deployment.
• Research and recommend new tools, libraries, and frameworks that could enhance development speed, code quality, and platform performance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with Shopify development, including theme development, app development, and API integrations.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with React and NodeJS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
