GraphQL API Developer Needed for Secure GraphQL Schema Design

About the role

LumenWorks is enhancing its operations data pipeline to deliver real‑time analytics for internal teams. We need a GraphQL API Developer who can design, implement, and optimise APIs that feed downstream analytics workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design schema‑first GraphQL services that expose operational data streams
• Integrate NodeJS back‑ends with existing REST endpoints and data stores
• Implement caching and pagination strategies for high‑volume queries
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure schema alignment with analytics models
• Write unit and integration tests, and maintain documentation

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production GraphQL APIs
• Strong JavaScript/NodeJS expertise
• Familiarity with React for API consumption testing
• Understanding of REST API patterns and data transformation

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Kafka or Airflow
• Knowledge of analytics platforms like Looker or Tableau
