Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable APIs using GraphQL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify API requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
• Develop and maintain API documentation, including API definitions, usage guides, and troubleshooting resources
• Troubleshoot API issues, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with security and quality standards
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and contribute to the improvement of our API ecosystem
• Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure API quality and reliability
• Collaborate with our development team to design and implement new features, and optimize API performance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API development, and apply this knowledge to improve our API ecosystem
• Develop and maintain API gateways, proxies, and other API-related infrastructure
• Ensure API compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with our QA team to develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and ensure API quality
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical guides, and knowledge base articles
• Participate in on-call rotations, provide technical support, and ensure API uptime and availability

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in API development, with a focus on GraphQL
• Strong proficiency in GraphQL, React, NodeJS, and REST API
• Experience with API design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and features
• Experience with API security, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting
• Strong understanding of database systems, including relational databases and NoSQL databases
• Experience with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience troubleshooting complex technical issues
