About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a greenfield SaaS platform to streamline remote team collaboration. As the Microservices Architect you will define the core service mesh for the new "CollabPulse" module, establishing the foundation for a scalable, fault‑tolerant system.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document a domain‑driven microservices architecture using Java Spring Boot and OpenAPI specifications.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated container builds and Helm chart deployments to a Kubernetes cluster.
• Implement service discovery, API gateway routing, and circuit‑breaker patterns with Istio.
• Define data consistency strategies across PostgreSQL and Cassandra stores, including event‑sourcing via Apache Kafka.
• Conduct performance benchmarking and capacity planning to meet 10k RPS targets before the MVP release.
• Mentor the engineering squad on DDD, contract testing, and observability best practices.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservices design, API versioning, and domain‑driven design.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for production deployments.
• Strong Java development background, especially Spring Boot and reactive streams.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and securing them with OAuth2/JWT.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Hands‑on experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka.
