Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documents, articles, and marketing materials from English into target languages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and culturally sensitivity.
• Review and revise translations to ensure high-quality output, adhering to client style guides and terminology.
• Collaborate with project managers to discuss project requirements, deadlines, and expectations, ensuring timely delivery of translations.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools, such as MemoQ or Trados, to streamline translation processes and maintain consistency.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry developments, terminology, and best practices in translation.
• Communicate with the project management team to address any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise during the translation process.
• Maintain accurate records of translated documents, including versions, revisions, and client feedback.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases to ensure consistency across translations.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, such as peer review and editing, to ensure high-quality translations.
• Coordinate with other translators, proofreaders, and editors to ensure efficient project workflow and meet deadlines.
• Stay organized, managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Attend virtual meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance translation skills, learn new tools, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Collaborate with the project management team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize workflows.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing translation quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, with a focus on technical translation.
• Proven experience in translation, preferably in a technical or IT context, with a portfolio of translated documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the target language(s), with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new topics, industries, and terminology.
• Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools, such as MemoQ, Trados, or similar software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
