About the role

NovaForge Tech is preparing a new app store launch that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a part‑time Node.js Developer to shape the API layer, ensure smooth data flow, and support rapid iteration for the upcoming release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful endpoints that power mobile features
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and error handling
• Write efficient, testable code using Express and modern JavaScript
• Optimize performance and scalability for high‑traffic launch windows
• Maintain clear documentation and versioned API specs

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Node.js and Express
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on building and consuming REST APIs
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part‑time schedule

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mobile app backend patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Node.js projects
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
