Node.js Developer – High-Volume System Integration

About the role

NexGen Media is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a Node.js Developer to shape the backend from day one. You will join a remote‑first team, work in short sprints, and help define architecture for a scalable, cloud‑native service.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
• Set up data models, validation, and error handling
• Integrate third‑party services and cloud resources
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teammates via async communication

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Node.js and Express
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Building and documenting REST APIs
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and promises

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container workflows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Node.js
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
