About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. As a Python Backend Developer you will help redesign core services to run on contemporary infrastructure while ensuring zero‑downtime migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Python code into modular Django apps
• Design and implement versioned REST APIs for internal and external consumers
• Introduce asynchronous processing where latency matters
• Write migration scripts and run blue‑green deployments to avoid service interruption
• Collaborate with DevOps to set up CI pipelines and monitoring

Must-have skills

• Strong Python experience with Django framework
• Building and securing RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka
