About the role
BlueSky Ventures is revamping the performance and reliability of its flagship visual analytics platform, codenamed "SkyLens". As a Computer Vision Engineer you will lead the redesign of image processing pipelines that power real‑time customer dashboards, ensuring low latency and high availability.
Key responsibilities
- Profile and refactor the existing OpenCV‑based inference service to reduce average latency by 30%.
- Implement automated health‑checks and circuit‑breaker patterns using Python and FastAPI.
- Containerize the CV micro‑services with Docker and orchestrate scaling policies in Kubernetes.
- Develop a CI/CD workflow in GitHub Actions that runs unit, integration, and performance tests on every pull request.
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate a new TensorRT‑optimized model for object detection.
- Document performance benchmarks and create a runbook for on‑call incident response.
Must-have skills
- Deep expertise in Python, OpenCV, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Proven experience optimizing computer‑vision pipelines for latency and throughput.
- Strong knowledge of REST API design and FastAPI or Flask frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- Ability to profile GPU workloads and apply model quantization techniques.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with edge‑device deployment and TensorRT.
- Background in A/B testing visual models in production.
