About the role

Orbit Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design and execute a zero‑downtime migration to a cloud‑native stack.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a containerized environment using Docker and Kubernetes for seamless rollout.
• Implement blue‑green and canary deployment strategies to guarantee zero‑downtime.
• Refactor legacy services into micro‑services while preserving existing APIs.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for repeatable deployments.
• Monitor cluster health, set up alerts, and optimize resource utilization.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Proven track record of zero‑downtime migrations in production.
• Strong DevOps mindset, including CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or Flux.
• Knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) networking.
• Familiarity with legacy monolith refactoring patterns.
