About the role

Vertex Analytics is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a Java Developer to design, implement, and refine pipelines that enable faster, reliable deployments across our microservice ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines for Java microservices.
• Integrate automated testing, static analysis, and containerization into release workflows.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA to streamline artifact promotion and rollback procedures.
• Document pipeline architecture and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.
• Monitor pipeline performance and implement optimizations for speed and stability.

Must-have skills

• Strong Java development experience (5+ years).
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and building microservice architectures.
• Hands‑on experience configuring CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Background in performance tuning of Java applications.
