About the role

NexGen Media is redesigning its content delivery platform using a microservices approach. We need an architect to define service boundaries, data contracts, and deployment pipelines that ensure scalability and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end microservice architecture aligned with business goals
• Define API contracts, event schemas, and communication patterns
• Create Docker images and Helm charts for Kubernetes deployment
• Establish CI/CD workflows and monitoring standards
• Mentor the development team on best practices and patterns

Must-have skills

• Proven experience designing and delivering microservices at scale
• Strong command of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Deep knowledge of Java for service implementation
• Understanding of REST, gRPC, and event‑driven messaging

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of security patterns for distributed systems
