About the role

We are modernizing a high‑traffic legacy PHP platform that powers critical analytics pipelines. The goal is to refactor core services and introduce zero‑downtime deployment techniques while preserving existing functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and refactor legacy codebase to improve readability and performance
• Implement Laravel modules to replace monolithic scripts
• Design and execute database migration strategies for MySQL
• Set up CI/CD pipelines that enable blue‑green or rolling releases
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability during updates
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to monitor production health

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of professional PHP development
• Deep experience with Laravel framework
• Strong MySQL schema design and optimization skills
• Proven track record of zero‑downtime deployments

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with automated testing tools (PHPUnit, Pest)
• Knowledge of Redis or queue systems for scaling
