Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, websites, and marketing materials from Spanish to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
• Review and edit translations to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and are free of errors.
• Work closely with project managers, editors, and other translators to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement translation strategies, guidelines, and workflows.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure that translations meet the required standards.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve translation processes and workflows.
• Translate audio and video content, including subtitles and voice-overs.
• Assist with the development of translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including new technologies and software.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement translation-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality translations in Spanish and English.
• Excellent language skills in Spanish and English, including grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
• Strong research skills and ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including ability to work with project managers, editors, and other translators.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Familiarity with translation software and tools, including CAT tools and translation memory.
• Knowledge of cultural nuances and differences between Spanish and English languages.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, software, and workflows.
