In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from translating technical documents to localizing websites and software applications. You will be responsible for researching and staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and for applying this knowledge to your work. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other translators and project managers to share best practices and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents from Spanish to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Review and edit translations to ensure they meet our high standards
• Collaborate with other translators and project managers to ensure the smooth execution of projects
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations on time
• Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments
• Apply knowledge of language and culture to translations
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes
• Collaborate with clients to understand their translation needs and preferences
• Develop and maintain glossaries and terminology databases
• Assist in the development of translation memory and terminology management systems
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve language skills and stay current with industry developments
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting
• Excellent language skills in Spanish and English, with the ability to translate complex documents accurately and efficiently
• Strong understanding of language and culture, with the ability to apply this knowledge to translations
• Proficiency in translation software and tools, such as memoQ, Trados, and Wordfast
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control processes, with the ability to participate in these processes
• Certification in translation, such as ATA or ITI certification, is an asset
