Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement effective accounting systems, procedures, and policies to enhance financial management and control.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide actionable recommendations to clients, focusing on areas such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives, tailoring our services to meet their specific needs and preferences.
• Perform accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations, utilizing accounting software and systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve our services and maintain compliance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial planning and budgeting strategies, supporting clients in achieving their financial objectives.
• Provide training and support to clients on financial management best practices, empowering them to make informed decisions and drive business growth.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a small business or startup environment.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA, or in progress, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Adeptness in time management, organization, and prioritization, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to develop and implement effective financial strategies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
