Android Developer Needed for In-App Purchase Flow Overhaul

About the role

Northbay Systems is building a brand‑new SaaS platform from the ground up. As an Android Developer you will shape the mobile experience for the Nimbus Dashboard, our flagship greenfield product. The project is fully remote‑first, targeting rapid market entry within three months.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement the core UI using Jetpack Compose, adhering to the Nimbus design system.
• Integrate RESTful services with Retrofit, handling authentication via OAuth2.
• Set up CI pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated builds, unit tests, and UI tests with Espresso.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and mock responses using MockWebServer.
• Deliver a beta version of the app, including in‑app update flow, by the end of month two.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Android SDK, Kotlin and Java.
• Proficiency in Jetpack libraries (Compose, Navigation, ViewModel, LiveData).
• Hands‑on knowledge of REST API integration and JSON parsing.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, and automated testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
• Background in building SaaS‑oriented mobile products.
