About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a coordinated mobile and backend launch for its upcoming app store release. We need an Android Developer who can bridge UI implementation with server‑side contracts, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Kotlin‑based Android features that consume newly created REST endpoints.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API schemas and error handling strategies.
• Optimize app performance for launch‑day load, focusing on memory usage and battery impact.
• Write unit and UI tests using JUnit and Espresso to guarantee release stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the CI pipeline for automated builds.

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Solid experience with Java legacy modules and migration.
• Understanding of RESTful API integration and JSON parsing.
• Familiarity with Android Jetpack components and MVVM architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with Coroutines and Flow.
• Knowledge of Play Store publishing guidelines.
• Exposure to backend languages such as Node.js or Python.
